70,000 tourist arrivals, mostly local visitors, are expected in Khanh Hoa during the coming April 30 and May 1 holiday. The room occupancy rate is estimated at approximately 70%. Most have booked hotels and resorts in Nha Trang City and Dai Beach area in Cam Lam, Cam Ranh City, according to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism on April 22.
On April 20, the Department of Tourism required businesses to strictly follow Covid-19 guidance to assure safety and security for tourists as regulated in the official document 539/SDL dated March 14. Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has set up Vietnam Tourism Switchboard 1039 to provide information, assist tourists, receive and handle their comments to improve service and tourism environment, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism. Enterprises are required to update and cooperate to implement the Vietnam Tourism Switchboard 1039.

The Department of Tourism will continue boosting Covid-19 prevention and control inspection to ensure service quality under the instruction of inspectors of the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism; and Khanh Hoa People’s Committee; as well as apply stiff punishments for any violation.
