Sightseeing fees reduced to promote tourism

Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee presided over a meeting on a tourism stimulus plan 2021 on March 23.
 
Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome more than 5 million visitor arrivals with a tourism revenue of VND17,500 billion in 2021. To attract domestic travelers to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in this summer tourist season, the Department of Tourism will organize many programs and activities in April 2021 to stimulate tourism such as welcoming a famtrip delegation to visit and survey tourism cooperation with Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa; organizing a tourism stimulus program "The call of Nha Trang beach" in the framework of Hanoi tourism stimulus and culinary culture festival in 2021; taking part in the 17th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival; and coordinating with PAYME Technology Joint Stock Company to promote the model "Travel first, pay later".

In the coming time, the Department of Tourism will also coordinate to open "Online Travel Fair" between local and international tourism businesses and associations; and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism photo and clip contests. Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association will organize Nha Trang Summer Food Festival 2021. Besides, the Department of Culture & Sports will organize and co-organize about 110 cultural, artistic and sporting events, contributing to stimulating travel demand and attracting tourists to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.
 
At the meeting, Le Huu Hoang asked the Department of Tourism, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and related units to boost tourism stimulus events and programs; consider reducing service prices, combining with the promotion of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourist destination on mass media to attract visitors. 
 
Le Huu Hoang recommended local tourism industry would link tourism stimulus activities with national holidays; work with airlines to open more domestic routes to Khanh Hoa; coordinate with large tourism enterprises like Vinpearl to effectively organize communication and promotion activities to attract domestic tourists.
 
Especially, Le Huu Hoang requested the Department of Culture & Sports and Nha Trang City People’s Committee to consider reducing sightseeing fees to Ponagar Temples, Chong Rock and Hon Mun Nature Reserve and report to the provincial People’s Committee before March 29.
