The number of tourists to Khanh Hoa Province in August 2020 is estimated to be much lower than in July (214,439 tourists) due to the second wave of COVID-19, according to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
The number of visitors to Khanh Hoa in August is expected at 28,000, including 26,000 domestic visitors and 2,000 international ones, making up 3.6% compared with the same period last year with the room occupancy of 2.15%. The total revenue from tourism industry is estimated to reach VND111.6 billion, accounting for 2.63% compared with the same period last year.

Since early 2020, Khanh Hoa has welcomed nearly 986,000 tourist arrivals, including 426,000 international visitors and 560,000 domestic ones, making up 19.8% compared with the same period last year.
The local tourism industry is estimated to continue facing further challenges in the coming time due to the on-going unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak, according to the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
