Intensifying management of tourist service quality

The Vietnam National Admisnitration of Tourism (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has sent a dispatch to tourism departments to request the management and reorganization of tourism activities to ensure quality of services. Until now, tourism stimulus activities of Khanh Hoa are bringing positive results as tourism businesses have discounted to attract customers but still ensured the quality of services.
 
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the program "Vietnamese people travel in Vietnam" launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recent years has received strong responses from most localities, the tourism associations and businesses nationwide. The stimulus program for domestic tourism has initially brought certain effects, attracting many domestic tourists and gradually restoring tourism activities in localities. 
 
In order to ensure the benefits for tourists, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism proposed the local tourism management to review the activities of providing tourism services, travel, strictly deal with individuals and organizations to engage in illegal and illegal tourism business or provision of poor quality services to tourists. Specifically, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism requires tourism management departments to direct areas, tourist attractions, accommodation establishments, transportation units, restaurants and entertainment and service establishments in the area to strengthen control of service quality; conduct a review and inspection of all facilities. At the same time, tourism businesses supplement human resources to serve tourists; enhance security and safety assurance, environmental sanitation, food safety in tourist areas, tourist attractions, accommodation establishments, and restaurants, etc.

Responding to the tourism stimulus program "Vietnamese people travel in Vietnam", since end of May 2020, Khanh Hoa tourism has implemented the tourism stimulus program "The call of Nha Trang beach" with many incentives in accommodation, eating and entertainment services ... Initially, the program has brought quite good effects. It is expected that Khanh Hoa will welcome about 150,000 guests in July, an increase of 3.5 times compared to June. Currently, big tourist sites in the province have a very high number of visitors. Latest, on July 18 and 19, Vinwonders Nha Trang welcomed 29,500 visitors. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism highly appreciated Khanh Hoa tourism about active implementation of activities to stimulate tourism after Covid-19 such as organizing programs to introducing destinations and connecting businesses in Hanoi, organizing caravan to introduce tourism in the Central Highlands, welcoming famtrip delegations…
 
Recently, speaking at the 11th session of the Provincial People's Council, Tran Viet Trung - Director of the provincial Department of Tourism said that most of the tourist businesses in the province have implemented the commitment to "reduce prices but not reduce quality”. So far, the Department of Tourism has not received any complain about the quality of services. Implementing the direction of the National Administration of Tourism, in order to ensure the brand of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism, from June 23 to 25, the Department of Tourism organizes a team to inspect and supervise the quality of tourism services in some places such as Muong Thanh Vien Trieu (Nha Trang), Cam Ranh Riviera, Duyen Ha Resort, Orchid Island, Thap Ba Hot Spring ... Initially, the inspection team evaluated accommodation businesses and destinations to ensure the quality of services.
 
Leaders of the Department of Tourism also confirmed that the department has always requires businesses in the province to stimulate tourism but keep the quality of services. Tourism in Nha Trang – Khanh has to compete in the direction of reducing prices but not reducing quality or keeping prices but adding services. Violations will be strictly punished.
