Increase in international visitors
According to a report by the provincial Department of Tourism, during the National Day holiday, Khanh Hoa Province is expected to receive about 54,600 visitors (an increase of 19% over the same period last year), including 27,900 domestic tourists (an increase of more than 6.4%) and 26,700 international ones (an increase of more than 36.2%). "The increase in international tourists is thanks to the attractive tourism environment and diverse tourist products which meet the demand of tourists. In addition, marketing is well-done by travel companies", Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy director of the provincial Department of Tourism explained.
The Department of Tourism also estimates that the room occupancy on this holiday may reach about 66.5%. In particular, the figure in 3 - 5 star hotels may reach 70 - 75%, under-2-star hotels will have an average room occupation of about 45 - 55%. Of which, hotels in the centerof Nha Trang City, along streets like Tran Phu, Pham Van Dong, Tue Tinh, Hung Vuong, etc. and in Doc Let beach and Bai Dai beach account for about 78%. Room rates do not increase compared to weekends in summer.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said that from mid August until now, the provincial Department of Tourism has hosted and coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect and correct activities in tourism. On August 22, the department issued a proposal to tourism businesses to welcome and serve tourists during the September 2 holiday. In that, the department requires the businesses to strictly abide by the regulations on fire prevention and fighting, ensure food hygiene and safety, declare room prices and sell them at posted prices.

In this year's National Day holiday, tourist destinations, hotels and restaurants in the province organize many interesting activities for tourists. For example, Vinpearl Land has recently put into operation Zipline with 880m long slide, which is the longest seamless slide in Vietnam now.
