Seminar on human resources for tourism in Industry 4.0 era

On May 12, Khanh Hoa University, Vietnam Tourism Education Association (VITEA) and Galina Hotel Nha Trang organized the National Scientific Seminar on human resources for tourism in the industrial revolution 4.0 era.

On May 12, Khanh Hoa University, Vietnam Tourism Education Association (VITEA) and Galina Hotel Nha Trang organized the National Scientific Seminar on human resources for tourism in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The seminar was presided by Associate Professor – PhD Pham Trung Luong, Vice-Chairman of VITEA and was attended by nearly 100 representatives who were the officials, entrepreneurs, and experts in the field of tourism across the country.
 
At the seminar, the attendees presented many reports about the present situation of the human resources of the tourism industry in Vietnam; impacts of the industrial revolution 4.0 on tourism and requirements for the domestic tourism human resources at present. The attendees also discussed about the experience in training high quality tourism staff; solutions to improve the quality of the tourism human resources in the coming time; marketing for local tourism in the industrial revolution 4.0.

 

 
Reportedly, at present, Vietnam has 196 tourism training facilities which include 65 universities having faculty of tourism, 55 colleges, 71 intermediate schools, and 4 vocational training centers. Approximately 22,000 tourism students graduate each year. Besides, there are around 5,000 laborers with primary level and ones who are trained for less than three months.
