North-South rail services return to normal after 10-day disruption

On November 14, North-South railroad, the section through Ca Pass, resumed operation with the cargo train No. 2507 after 10-day disruption caused by the typhoon.


According  to Vietnam Railway Corporation, the repair work, 1st phase, finished 1 day ahead with the transport speed allowed at 5km/hour. All preparation for machinery and human resources is underway for the 2nd phase of the repair.


Besides, North-South rail services have returned to normal for passenger and cargo trains, namely SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 from November 14; and SE9/10 from November 15.

 

kRailway lines have reopened after the storm caused heavy disruption.
