Promoting tourism in early year

Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM), held in Hanoi from April 6 to 9, was taken part by 450 booths of 646 businesses from 43 provinces and cities in the country and 25 other countries and territories. At this event, Khanh Hoa’s tourism had one booths participated by 8 businesses of travel, accommodation and entertainment. According to the provincial Department of Tourism, to make the marketing more attractive and effective, the booth was designed more newly and featured the local travel. Therefore, each day, the booth drew hundreds of visitors. “In my view, the booth of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa travel is good-looking. Participating businesses are satisfied”, said Nguyen Van Hieu, director of Ever Blue Travel Co., Ltd. 
 
 
Also at VITM, the province signed cooperation agreement to speed up tourism development with some provinces in the Northern Central region. Tourist businesses met with 15 big travel firms in the US to seek cooperation opportunities, especially attracting tourists from the US to Nha Trang. Besides, many new tours like Nha Trang – Da Lat tours, Sea Festival tours in June, etc were introduced.
 
“Participating VITM this year was useful for our company. It was not only a chance for us to better the relationship with partners in the north and find out new ones. In addition, we introduced new tourist products and new destinations in Khanh Hoa. Especially, we had an effective meeting with American tourist businesses”, said Tran Minh Duc, deputy director of Long Phu Tourist Company.
 
Before that, from  March 23 to 26, tourist businesses in the province had joined Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, which was participated by 75 tourist businesses from Ho Chi Minh City and 120 ones from 41 other provinces and cities. The booth of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa travel displayed publications of 30 businesses and was joined directly by 6 businesses to introduce their new services and tours. Through the event, businesses of the province had promoted their images and services to tourists and partners in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces. 
 
At the end of the event, the booth of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa travel was given the second prize in the beautiful booth contest by the organization board. 
 
It’s possible to see that to prepare for the tourist season in summer 2017, Khanh Hoa’s tourism has made specific activities to promote local image and tourist products.
