Water Palace Resort, Tri Nguyen Island, Nha Trang City

2 kilometers south of Nha Trang Port, Tri Nguyen Resort is located on Tri Nguyen Island. Here, you can discover the bottom of the ocean with a very abundant and varied botanical system as sharks, corals, sea tortoises, seahorses, sea anemones...

From here, tourists can be also picked up to series of islands where they can camp, fish and to visit Nha Trang Fishing Village.

In 1976, Tri Nguyen Aquarium (its name at that time) first consisted of only 2 fish ponds, one big & one small, with ornamental fish. Its management and development were first delegated to some units, but later were transferred to Khanh Hoa Tourist Company. At the beginning, this place, quite desert, mainly made use of available advantages without any investment. To promote all its natural potentials offered to humans, the Khanh Hoa Tourist Co. invested VND 10 billion in 1997 in construction of the Tri Nguyen Water Palace in an unique design of an ancient ship divided into many floors with a fish pond on the ground floor; souvenir, handicraft shops on the second floor and a restaurant on the third one. On the deck is a mast and a cannon, an ideal position to enjoy the fine view of the sea from high above.

Since 1999, The Tri Nguyen Water Palace has been put into good and effective use, thus regaining the whole capital just after 4 months. Moreover, more investment continues to be put into Tri Nguyen Resort, so that tourists always find something new and attractive whenever coming here. Models of giant lobsters, crabs, mushrooms (weighing 5 tones, 7 meters high) have been being built to offer new and impressive scenery to tourists.

Coming to Tri Nguyen today, you will feel like being lost in a real Water Palace with an extremely attractive and abundant botanical system. You may never see and know some kinds of fish if you fail to set foot on this place. The seahorse, the unique species whose male bear eggs and give birth, Japanese carps in a noble gait, Napoleon butterfish, Picasso fish... look like a miniature ocean.

Besides the Water Palace, you can also visit an open-air fish pond fishing for entertainment. A 500 meters’ walk from here will take you to Bai San Beach, an ideal campsite at night with many joyful group activities. From here, you are offered amusing tours to series of islands and Nha Trang Fishing Village to enjoy fresh seafood. Entrance ticket is VND20,000/ ticket/ child under 10, including the tour of the Water Palace, an open-air fish pond and Bai San Beach. If you don’t enter the Water Palace, the ticket is just VND 5,000/ person.
