Nha Phu is one of the two large swamps in the province of Khanh Hoa, forming a big eco-tourism center of thousands hectares. This site has become a tourist attraction.

Located at the foot of Heo Island, Nha Phu Swamp stretching for tens of kilometers creates calm and smooth water. The growth of several ideal resorts has had unforgettable impression on tourists: Lao Island, Thi Island, Orchid Stream and Ninh Van Resort with wood houses lying by the edge of water.

Tien Beach (Fairy Beach) is situated at the foot of Heo Island with flat rocks by mountain sides creating caves and hollows contributing to its deserted and peaceful beauty.

Lao Island is a 33-ha javelin point-shaped island which is also named Monkey Island as about a thousand monkeys are living here. This island used to be for raising monkeys for the production of disease preventive vaccines. When monkeys are not used in the production of vaccine any more, the island was transferred to Khanh Viet Corporation and Long Phu Company to develop tourism. Three kinds of monkeys on the island are red bottom, short tail, red face-yellow hair and grey hair-long tail. Every day, they often seek for food in a forest inside the island. Some of them dare to go outside to be fed by tourists. We can enjoy performances of elephants, bears, monkeys and dogs on Lao Island. The entertaining and sightseeing region has a bird park and statue parks featuring ecological characteristics of Lao Island. Coming here, travelers can take a sightseeing tour around statue gardens such as Thien Long Garden where cycads are grown, a statue garden of happiness, wealth and longevity, of 12 animal signs of a year…

Orchid Stream

Annually, Lao Island receives about 70 thousand of tourists. Orchid Stream is an ecotourism resort with an orchid cave with 3 thousand trees including 39 kinds of orchids collected and brought from Hanoi and the Central Highlands. Many kinds are very rare such as lan hai, nghinh xuan…adds to the deserted natural beauty. Deep in the cave is an orchid waterfall murmuring day and night and beside it are thousands of baskets of colorful orchids.
