Khanh Hoa FC performed excellently in their away match in round 19 at Thanh Tri Stadium against Phu Dong on October 12, rising to the top of the 2022 V.League 2. They still have 1 previously-postponed match to play.

In the match with Phu Dong, Khanh Hoa FC players displayed a different performance compared to their boring performance against Phu Tho in round 18. They started the match confidently and scored an early goal in the first half. Khanh Hoa FC continued to play well in the second half, keeping the match in control and causing difficulties to the opponent defense line. Thanh Binh’s second goal and Minh Huy’s goal contributed to the 3-0 win of Khanh Hoa FC. This was the fifth away win in 9 away matches of Khanh Hoa FC.

This win has eased the pressure on coach Vo Dinh Tan and his players in the remaining rounds and increased the score gap between them and their direct opponents. Khanh Hoa FC now have 36 points after 18 matches and 1 make-up match to go.

In round 19, People’s Police were hold 1-1 by Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The two consecutive draw made the way to V.League 1 next season of People’s Police more difficult. With 34 points after 19 rounds, they dropped to third place below Pho Hien, who jumped to second after defeating Phu Tho 3-0.

Khanh Hoa FC have four matches ahead, including the make-up match with Quang Nam on October 20, to increase their points. They cannot be complacent and need to be concentrated because their rivals, Pho Hien and Quang Nam, are striving for points. Pho Hien are displaying incredible form with seven unbeaten matches. Meanwhile, four-placed Quang Nam on 33 points are likely to secure the promotion if they beat People’s Police in round 20 and Khanh Hoa FC in the make-up match of round 16.

Khanh Hoa FC receive Hue at 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium on October 16.
