V.League 2 round 17: Chance for Khanh Hoa FC

Khanh Hoa FC will play away match at PVF Stadium against Pho Hien in round 17 of the 2022 V.League 2. A win can push them to the top position on the table.

 

Two matches of round 16 were cancelled due to storm No.4 (Noru), including the match between Khanh Hoa FC and Quang Nam. The highlight of round 16 was the 1-3 loss of first-placed People’s Police to Phu Dong. The loss didn’t affect the leading position of People’s Police but have created a chance for their opponents namely Khanh Hoa FC, Pho Hien and Quang Nam to approach and even surpass them. Currently, Khanh Hoa FC are sitting second on the same points with People’s Police but have played one match fewer than the latter. 

 

 

 

Pho Hien have got 28 points. Khanh Hoa FC’s target is maintaining their position in the top two. Khanh Hoa FC players have played with quite stable form in recent matches, especially away matches. Since the beginning of the return leg, Khanh Hoa FC have always taken advantage of opportunities to earn points in important matches. They won against Dak Lak and Binh Phuoc and drew with two strong opponents, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and People’s Police. 

 

Pho Hien consist of well-trained young players who have high determination and a desire to prove themselves. Meanwhile, Khanh Hoa FC have experienced players who used to play in V.League 1. Pho Hien have home advantage. They are also in good mood after consecutive two wins in round 15 and 16. In the first leg, they defeated Khanh Hoa FC right at Khanh Hoa’s stadium.

 

It is likely that Khanh Hoa FC will have a tough match at Pho Hien’s stadium. If they have a good result, coach Vo Dinh Tan and his players can feel more at ease because in the last stage of the return leg, their direct opponents for the promotion slot are Quang Nam only. Khanh Hoa FC will meet Quang Nam in a make-up match for round 6, scheduled to take place at the end of October, after round 20.
