Men's pair of Khanh Hoa obtained a silver medal and a bronze medal.
Women’s beach volleyball pair Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vy and Vu Ngoc Lan of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa proved their competence with a gold medal at the National 2x2 Beach Volleyball Championship 2022 taking place recently at Cua Viet beach, Quang Tri Province. Men’s pair of Khanh Hoa obtained a silver medal and a bronze medal.
The tournament took place from June 23 to 26, attracting nearly 100 players of 15 male and 19 female teams from 12 provinces, cities and sports centers with strong beach volleyball movement across the country, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Phu Yen, Ca Mau, 4th Army Corps. The tournament was highly competitive because it was an occasion for the participating units to check and assess the form of their players to make the best preparation for the 9th National Sports Congress scheduled for the end of 2022.

Sanvinest Khanh Hoa joined this year’s tournament with two female pairs and four male pairs. The athletes had been chosen thanks to their good form, experience and previous achievements. These athletes were also the outstanding members of the national beach volleyball team competing at SEA Games 31.
After three days of competition, in women's event, the athlete pair of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Vu Ngoc Lan Nguyen and Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vi, defeated the pair of Kien Giang Province to win the gold medal. Besides, athlete Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vy was named the best female athlete by the organization committee. This was the second time in a row in 2022 that the female pair of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa has won championship title. Previously, this pair of female athletes displayed an impressive form and secured gold medal at Hai Phong Beach Women’s Open Tournament.
In men’s event, the pairs of Sanvinest Khanh Hoa also got encouraged results. Nguyen Trong Quoc and Nguyen Van Nha gained silver medal after losing to the pair of Ho Chi Minh City in the final match. This was a rare time that Ho Chi Minh City’s athlete pair won against Khanh Hoa’s pair in a final match. In the past, Nguyen Trong Quoc and Nguyen Thanh Vinh were the gold medal hunters of Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball delegation. This time, Nguyen Thanh Vinh couldn’t join the tournament due to his injury. Besides the silver medal, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa had a bronze medal in men’s event gained by the pair To Long Nhat and Tran Quang Vu.
This result showed that Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball in general and Sanvinest Khanh Hoa athletes in particular have still been the strong force in beach volleyball in Vietnam. They have always placed in the top three at national tournaments from youth level to national level.
