Khanh Hoa to organize walking day to respond to SEA Games 31

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports will coordinate with the provincial Department of Education and Training, related provincial departments, sectors and localities and Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize a walking day in Nha Trang City to respond to SEA Games 31, held in Vietnam from May 12 to 23, as well as to promote the images of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. In an interview with Khanh Hoa News, Nguyen Tuan Thanh, deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, said:

- The opening ceremony of the walking day is held in front of the provincial Conference Center (46 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang). The event will take place from 6am to 10am on May 22. An estimate of around 7,000 people, including 5,000 primary and junior high school pupils and 2,000 parents, will participate in the event. The participants will walk 1km and join some games and music activities held by Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd.
 
- Besides responding to SEA Games 31, what are the other purposes of the walking day? 
 
- Besides responding to the 31st SEA Games whose theme is “For a stronger Southeast Asia”, the walking day also aims to continue carrying out the campaign “All people exercise following great Uncle Ho's example” in the province effectively to raise the awareness of people about the role and effects of exercise in building and protecting the nation. In additions, the event is expected to help to promote the beautiful images and activities of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa to domestic and international visitors.
 
- Besides, the walking day also aims to create a helpful activity for pupils in Nha Trang in particular and in the province in general, encouraging them to actively participate in sports activities on the upcoming summer vacation.
