Khanh Hoa’s 3-Cushion Billiards Tournament 2022 was organized at ASIA Billiards Club with the participation of over 70 players of 15 units and clubs over the province. The movement of billiards and snooker in general and 3-cushion in particular in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa hasn’t reached professional level; however, the quality of tournaments and clubs of Khanh Hoa as well as skills of Khanh Hoa players have still been highly assessed in the central and highland regions. In 2021, Khanh Hoa billiards players tried to overcome the difficulties caused by COVID-19 to practice and some good results. For example, player Nguyen Nhu Le won the championship of Binh Duong Province’s 9th open tournament; player Dinh Nam Khanh qualified for the final round of the national tournament in Vung Tau City.
The recent provincial 3-cushion tournament attracted most of the excellent clubs and players in the province. After three days of competition, Dinh Nam Khanh and Trang Quang Hung of Khanh Hoa BSH Club, Hinh Trinh Nhan of Hoang Long Club, and Vo Huy Dung of Dien Khanh Khanh reached the semi-finals. Two players of Khanh Hoa BSH Club won semi-final matches to enter the final match. Dinh Nam Khanh, with his rich experience, defeated Tran Quang Hung at the score of 40-39 to claim the championship. This was the second time Dinh Nam Khanh has won the provincial tournament.
This year’s National Billiards & Snooker 2022 promises to be very exciting thanks to the participation of mostly all strong billiards clubs, units, and localities over the province. Currently, 13 clubs with 104 players of Khanh Hoa have registered for the first round of the national tournament. Hopefully, with the force preparation at the recent provincial tournament, Khanh Hoa’s billiards and snooker delegation will gain good achievements to promote the development of movement of billiards and snooker in the province.
