36 players from eight localities in the province (Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Van Ninh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Cam Lam) take part in the contest. The players compete in individual event (under 35 years old, 36 and above) and team event (rapid chess and standard chess).

All the players are required to follow COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
The contest ends on October 20.
