Vietnam under Coach Park Hang-seo produced a dominant performance against Indonesia in the match. After a scoreless first half, Tien Linh (51st minute), Quang Hai (62nd minute), Cong Phuong (67th minute), Van Thanh (74th minute) struck four goals in the second half to hand Vietnam the victory.

The 4-0 win over Indonesia helps the Vietnam remain top of Group with 14 points, two points more than the UAE at second and five points more than Thailand and Malaysia (both on nine points).
