Khanh Hoa FC were drawn by Pho Hien in round 7 of the National First League (LS V.League 2) on May 6. This is the last round before the league is postponed due to the complex evolution of COVID-19.

Before round 7, the match between People’s Police and Hue on Pleiku Stadium had been cancelled; other matches, including Khanh Hoa FC-Pho Hien match, were still played but without spectators to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Although playing behind closed doors, the two sides displayed a tense performance. The visitors Pho Hien proved that although they ranked next to last on the table, they were still not an easy opponent. Pho Hien started the match on front foot with strong determination. Tran Le Duy of Khanh Hoa FC was carried from the field on a stretcher after a collision with a defender of Pho Hien. Within 20 minutes of the first half, the ball was mostly played on the side of the hosts Khanh Hoa FC. Pho Hien created four good chances of scoring, forcing Khanh Hoa FC goalkeeper to work hard to save his net. Before half-time, Pham Duc Thong fired the visitors into the lead.
