The championship is jointly organized by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, and Vietnam Basketball Federation. It is played by nine male and six female teams from the basketball clubs, provinces and cities across the country, namely Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Hanoi, Soc Trang, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, and Khanh Hoa.

In men’s event, the teams compete in two groups of four and five to choose teams for semi-finals and final. The female teams play in one group to decide the final winner.
GOBEE VN-KH and Poseidon-NT are the two teams of Khanh Hoa in this tournament.
