Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam (S.KH-BVN) came from behind to win An Giang in stage 2 of the second round of the 2020 LS V-League 2 at 19-8 Nha Trang Stadium on October 14. This win helped them to maintain their second place in the table as well as their hope for promotion.

In fact, the match between S.KH-BVN and An Giang was played at 5pm on October 13. However, it was postponed halfway through when the hosts were trailing 0-1 due to heavy rain. At around the 20th minute of the first half, S.KH-BVN were given a corner kick which could not performed because of the puddles on the pitch. The match after that was halted and rescheduled to the morning of October 14.

The match resumed on October 14 with S.KH-BVN performing corner kick. Nguyen Van Tung volleyed home a leveler. S.KH-BVN, especially young players, played better after the equalizer. Just a few minutes later, from a quick attack, Thanh Nhan took advantage of a good assist from Dinh Kha to raise the score to 2-1 for S.KH-BVN.

The come-from-behind win of S.KH-BVN was claimed in the second half when young player Van Tung ran deep into the box of An Giang and stroked the ball into the net. The visitors attempted several attacks but were unable to find a way through the defenders of S.KH-BVN. The match ended with the hosts getting three precious points for their race to the first place.

In this stage, both two direct competitors of S.KH-BVN in the battle for the only promotion spot to V-League 1 next year, Ba Ria-Vung Tau (BR-VT) and Binh Dinh, also won three points each against their opponents. Specifically, BR-VT edged out Pho Hien 1-0; Binh Dinh smashed a 4-1 victory over Binh Phuoc. BR-VT are still leading the table with 30 points.  S.KH-BVN are second with 26 points; Binh Dinh are on equal points with S.KH-BVN but behind on goal difference.

Thus, the race for the championship of the 2020 LS V-League 2 and the sole promotion spot to V-League 1 next season is among three teams BR-VT, S.KH-BVN and Binh Dinh. Coach Vo Dinh Tan and his S.KH-BVN players will travel to Binh Phuoc Province for a match on October 18.
