In recent years, football fans who love amateur football in Khanh Hoa Province can watch many football tournaments held in the province through live streams via Facebook. People who do the live streams have helped to bring amateur football closer to the public.

Some football tournaments held recently in Khanh Hoa such as the provincial futsal tournament 2020, HDBank futsal tournament for students in central and highland regions, and five-a-size football tournament Nha Trang youth have been live streamed via Facebook fan pages namely “Phủi Khánh Hòa” and “K.Sports”. The live streams on the two fan pages namely “Phủi Khánh Hòa” and “K.Sports” have been done by a group of four people loving amateur football. At first, this group did the live streams of amateur football matches held by their friends to help more people to be able to watch them. Gradually, live streaming of amateur football tournaments has become more popular; more and more people know about the group and invited them to promote and live stream tournaments.

In order to ensure the quality of the live streams of large-scale tournaments, the group bought two live streaming cameras with slow motion playback setting and laptops with powerful configuration. For small-scale, friendly matches, they do the live streams with a commentator, a good smartphone, a tripod, and a microphone.

As said by the group’s members, live streaming on Facebook has some more benefits than on broadcasting on TV. Facebook live streams cost around VND500 thousand to 2.5 million per match. Professional expertise is not stressed much in live streamed matches. Commentators can make more interactions with viewers. People can watch live-streamed matches at any place with just a smartphone.  Sometimes, the groups also experienced some unexpected problems such as cameras hit by ball and live streaming disruption due to technological issues and weather. Commentators also need knowledge of amateur football and information about players in order to give viewers more interesting commentaries, according to Nguyen Thanh Duong, member of the live streaming group.

Live streaming is a side job of these live streaming group members. Besides their main job, they do live streams to satisfy their love for amateur football. Through live streaming matches, Thanh Duong and his members want to contribute to promote the development of this sport in the province.
