Nha Trang City People’s Committee on June 21 organized the launching ceremony of swimming and drowning prevention movement among all people in the city in 2020. The event took place at Nha Trang Sports Training and Competing Center
People attended the ceremony included the leaderships of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, representatives of agencies in the city, over 500 primary and junior high schools pupils and their parents, etc.

At the launching ceremony, the pupils were provided basic knowledge about drowning prevention and necessity of learning swimming. Besides, they were instructed how to identify deep, dangerous and prohibited bathing areas; call for help in dangerous situations while swimming; safely rescue drowning people, and so on.

The launching ceremony was an activity of Nha Trang City People’s Committee to implement the provincial People’s Committee’s decisions on the plan for injury prevention among children in 2016-2020 period and the pilot project for teaching swimming in primary and junior high schools in 2017-2020 period.
