The 2018 conference of the Asia’s Sports Industry Awards & Conference (SPIA Asia) was organized in Bangkok in November 19 – 20. The SPIA Asia Awards Gala took place on November 20, announcing the winners of 20 sports categories, for example Best International Sporting Event of the Year, Best Global Sports Organization Operating in Asia, Best Sports Tourism Destination of the Year, Best Sports Digital Platform of the Year, Best Mass Participation Event of the Year, Best Sponsorship over $250,000 in Asia, Best Integrated Marketing Campaign for a Sports Event, Best Sports CSR Initiative of the Year, and Best Developing Football League of the Year by AFC.

The Best Developing Football League of the Year by AFC category had ten nominees, including the football leagues of Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, India, Bhutan, Jordan, Guam, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Finally, V-League of Vietnam was awarded gold prize of this category. I-League of India and Go-Jek Liga 1 of Indonesia won silver and bronze prizes, respectively.
