Overcoming strong Trang An Ninh Binh in the final match of the volleyball tournament - PV Dam Ca Mau Cup to win the championship, Sanest Khanh Hoa (S.KH) showed that they had prepared well for the upcoming Eighth National Sports Festival.
The final between the two best teams of PV Dam Ca Mau Cup 2018 took place recently at Dak Nong Sports Competition Hall with the cheer from thousands of spectators. Although this tournament was just a training competition in which the participants took part to prepare for the National Sports Festival 2018, the teams played hard with high determination to get the best results.
S.KH defeated Trang An Ninh Binh 3-1 in the group stage. However, both teams only played that match with many reserves. Therefore, that match did not reflect their real strength. In search of the championship, in the final, Trang An Ninh Binh fielded their best line-up which helped them to capture Hung Vuong Cup 2018, causing Khanh Hoa’s representative to have tough sets, especially the first two sets. The players of S.SK recovered from two lost sets to fight back from behind and won the game 3-2 (25-23; 20-25; 29-31; 25-22; 15-10).

PV Dam Ca Mau Cup is the first championship of S.SK in this year’s season. This result is not as good as the team’s achievements in the previous years. However, the supporters could see the progress of S.SK players through their performances in the 2018 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship and in this tournament.
With the tactics and strategies devised by new coach Thai Quang Lai, S.SK has diversified their play style with more players joining the attack in stead of depending on the form of outside hitters as they did in the past. Beside outside hitter Ngo Van Kieu and libero Huynh Trung Truc, middle blocker Nguyen Dinh Nhu has become an outstanding athlete of S.SK. Nguyen Dinh Nhu was awarded as the best middle blocker at the 2018 Asian Men's Club Volleyball. He alos contributed much in the victory of S.SK against Trang An Ninh Binh in the final.
The volleyball supporters in Khanh Hoa are waiting for the performances of S.SK in the National Sports Festival held in December.
