A ceremony to dispatch the sports delegation of Khanh Hoa to the 2018 National Sports Festival was held at the hall of the provincial People’s Committee on November 2. Attending the ceremony were Phan Thong, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Ho Van Mung, Head of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Propaganda and Training.
The Eighth National Sports Festival comprises 36 sports, joined by thousands of players from 65 provinces, cities and industries in the country. Khanh Hoa takes part in the festival with 105 male and 21 female players, competing in table-tennis, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, dance sport, bodybuilding, weight-lifting, traditional martial art, judo, karate, taekwondo, muay Thai, aerobics, billiards & snooker, and futsal. The delegation sets target to win 23 medal sets and place in top 20.

At the ceremony, Phan Thong praised the preparation process of the sports section for the festival as well as the recent achievements of the province’s sports teams.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Council offered certificate of merit to Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam, the second runner-up of V-League 2018, and 22 individuals who provided support and played well at the domestic and international tournaments since the beginning of the year.
