The Khanh Hoa’s tennis club open tournament – Me Trang Cup 2018 took place in October 12-14 and was joined by more than 160 players from 16 clubs of Khanh Hoa and other provinces like Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Kon Tum and Ninh Thuan, etc. The players competed in three events: men’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
As reported by Le Canh Than, member of the executive committee of Vietnam Tennis Federation and Head referee of the tournament, this year’s tournament had the largest number of participants compared to the previous years’ ones. Besides, the quality of the 2018 competitions was also higher thanks to the participants of the strong clubs over the province (Nga Sport, Han Thuyen, Lac Hong, Railway, Post Office, etc.) and excellent athletes of Lam Dong Province who used to play at the professional tournaments (Ta Vu Quang Minh, Nguyen Viet Thao, Tran Quoc Hao, Nguyen Dang Khoa, and so on). The quality of the matches satisfied the expectation of the spectators.

Among the participants, there were many players having rather high movement ranking points such as Duong Van Nam and Ho Nguyen Viet Thang of Khanh Hoa Water Supplying Company (300 to 400 points), Ho Phuoc Viet and Phan Ngoc Phi of Railway (350 to 425 points), and pair Nguyen Viet Thao - Ta Vu Quang Minh of Lam Dong Province (425 to 525 points). These points were accumulated from the movement and semi-professional tournaments in which the players participated.
