Most of the players who played at the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship and ASIAD 2018 were called for this pre-tournament training except two defenders Vu Van Thanh and Pham Xuan Manh who have been injured in V-League 2018.
Vietnam squad is set to start training in Hanoi on October 11. Some of the summoned players will join the training camp later after finishing the National Cup on October 15.

After that, the squad will travel to South Korea and have three friendly matches with Incheon United on October 22, Seoul FC on October 25, and Seoul E-Land FC on October 29.
The final 23 players playing at AFF Cup 2018 will be decided after the training course in South Korea.
