Khanh Hoa’s potential in football has not been as highly evaluated as the one of other localities over the country. However, the football teams of Khanh Hoa have proved that they have been not easy opponents to defeat. Most of the players of Khanh Hoa have played with high determination and strived their best to partly make up for the difficulties which Khanh Hoa’s football has been facing.
Khanh Hoa U15 placed second in group B of the qualifying round of the National U15 Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup, earning them the ticket to the final round which will take place in Tay Ninh Province in August 2-12. Khanh Hoa U15 will play in group B with PVF, Viettel and Dong Nai. PVF won all eight games in the qualifying round; scored 72 goals and had only one goal conceded. Meanwhile, Viettel had seven wins, one draw and no goal conceded. Facing such strong opponents, Khanh Hoa U15 will have to make great efforts in order to reach the semi-finals.
Following the good result of U15, Khanh Hoa U17 recently passed the preliminary round and advanced to the finals of the National U17 Tournament – Thai Son Nam Cup 2017 which is slated to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in early July.
Other recent noticeable achievements of Khanh Hoa’s sports have been the third position of Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam in V-League 2017. That has been considered as a surprise and success exceeding the expectations. Khanh Hoa U21 was the reigning runner-up of National U21 Championship 2016. U19 team has often qualified for the final round of the national tournaments. It can be said that although having affected by many difficulties, Khanh Hoa’s football has still maintained its vitality.
Khanh Hoa’s football has still been inferior to other localities in term of investment from businesses. Therefore, the fact that most of young football teams of Khanh Hoa have managed to advance to the final round of the national tournaments is really remarkable.
