Some of the best of Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam in first leg of V-League 2017

The third position of Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN) after the first leg has surprised many 2017 V-League teams. This result was made up from some of the best which the team from the coastal province had gained in the first half of this season.

“King” of away matches

Nha Trang Stadium often receives around 5,000 spectators for every home match of  Sanna KH-BVN. The team’s coaching board and players have always exerted to bring their fans exciting matches whenever they play at home. They often focus on the attacking line instead of playing on their familiar counter-attack. This might cause them to suffer some pressure and get unexpected results.

At the away grounds, the players of Sanna KH-BVN have often played under less pressure; followed their familiar tactic and secured better results. For example, in 13 matches of the first half this season, Sanna KH-BVN played seven home matches but got only nine points. Meanwhile, they gained 14 points from six away matches, which made them the team having had the most points in away grounds. Sanna KH-BVN has also been the team scoring most goals when playing away.

Longest unbeaten consequence

From the sixth round of V-League 2017, Sanna KH-BVN started their unbeaten games with five wins and three draws. This can be considered as an excellent achievement of Coach Vo Dinh Tan and his players because the team joined this season with the leaving of the outstanding forward Uche, who has been evaluated as the best attacker in Vietnam at present, and some halfbacks.

Sanna KH-BVN was said to be a strong collective of dedicated players who have always play with the highest determination. In addition, the team has been led by a competent coach. Sanna KH-BVN has been not an outstanding team in term of finances, professional quality, and even supporters. However, Khanh Hoa’s team has achieved the results which many strong teams in V-League wish for.

Undersized but strong players

The players of Sanna KH-BVN do not have a relatively good body mass index compared to the ones from other teams of V-League. However, they have been formidable opponents who have good physical stamina. In the away match against SHB Da Nang, Sanna KH-BVN showed their physical superiority as they won the host even though playing with only ten men right from the ninth minute. Sanna KH-BVN has also been the only team winning at Hoa Xuan Stadium (home ground of SHB Da Nang) in the first leg of V-League 2017.

“It has just been halfway through the tournament. The teams have been very close on the standings. Sanna KH-BVN has to keep striving in the second leg which promises many hard matches. The team is showing high determination to get high position in order to reciprocate the support from fans, sponsors and province’s leaders,” said Coach Vo Dinh Tan.
