As expected, Sanest Khanh Hoa and the Fourth Corps – Becamex played a quite exciting final match which was cheered on by thousands of spectators. Coach Trieu Tu Thien of the reigning champion Sanest Khanh Hoa fielded a familiar line-up, including outside hitters Ngo Van Kieu and Van Phong, setter Xuan Tan, middle blockers Huu Nghia and Van Tien, libero Trung Truc. Although outstanding outside hitter Tu Thanh Thuan was absent due to injury, the representative of Khanh Hoa’s volleyball was still highly evaluated. That was because the performances of Sanest Khanh Hoa in the first round of the National Volleyball Championship where they won all games to qualify for Hung Vuong Cup.
In the meantime, the Fourth Corps – Becamex defeated most of the strong teams in the first round, such as The Cong, Border and Trang An Ninh Binh. The Fourth Corps – Becamex had players of equal quality; some of them were at their apex, for example Long Kiem, Thanh Hac and Van Sanh.

The champion was given cup and an award worth VND70 million. Besides, Ngo Van Kieu was honored as the most excellent player of the 2017 Hung Vuong Cup.
