Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) in Khanh Hoa this year promises to be very eventful with a lot of cultural and arts activities. All residents and tourists can join these interesting activities.
Arts activities will start on January 18 with a series of spring films in the cinema at 10 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Nha Trang, Springtime Magazine Festival at the provincial Library (10 Tran Hung Dao Street, Nha Trang) and a music show at 5 2-4 Street, Nha Trang.

People who love antiques and traditional arts will have a chance to contemplate archaeological and cultural remains of ethnic groups in Khanh Hoa Province, a collection of Vietnamese folk pictures and the province’s ornamental creature works at the provincial Museum (16 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang) on January 19. On the same day, there will be a show of Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern amateur music) and Tuong (Vietnamese classical drama) from 7 pm at 5 2-4 Street, Nha Trang.
On January 20, calligraphy exhibition will take place also at 5 2-4 Street, Nha Trang.
On January 21 evening, the provincial Cultural Center will hold a fashion show themed “Color of Spring” performed by Khanh Hoa’s models.
On January 22 evening or Lunar New Year Eve, at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang, Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe will perform new acts to welcome the spring. Nha Trang residents and tourists also can see the Lunar New Year in at Ponagar Temple with New Year worship rites to pray for a good year.
On January 23 or the first day of the Lunar New Year, there will be a Vietnamese traditional arts show at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang.
On January 24 or the second day of the Lunar New year, tourists can see unicorn – lion – dragon dances and martial arts also at this square.
On the three following days, the square will host semifinal and final matches of human chess tournament.
On January 28, also at 2-4 Square, there will be a performance of colorful kites.
A photo exhibition opening at the seaside park near 2-4 Square on February 2 and a music show at 2-4 Square on February 3 will celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Beside Nha Trang, arts troupes will make performances in districts, including Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Cam Lam, Dien Khanh and Ninh Hoa. Mobile cinemas also will come many places to serve the residents across province.
