Pursuant to the Ministry of Transport, the ground-breaking ceremony for 12 component projects of the North – South motorway project’s eastern section of the phase 2021-2025 (12 packages/ 12 projects/ 9 provinces) is scheduled to be held virtually on January 1, 2023. The site handover has basically met the requirement for the construction kick-off in Khanh Hoa Province.
80% land handed over
According to the report of the Department of Transport, communities of Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Khanh Vinh and Dien Khanh have handed 80% of project land, 616.26ha over to the management board of the project 7, Ministry of Transport, meeting the requirement by the Government. The site clearance compensation has been 60% complete (over VND400 billion/ VND767.5 billion).

Local authorities have reviewed and made an inventory of technical infrastructures affected by the project. 25 systems of infrastructures affected by the project have been confirmed by local authorities. Localities have made feasibility study and economic-technical reports regarding to 6 resettlement areas and moved on to next steps for the construction.
According to Chu van An, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, localities will focus on making the most of equipment and human resources to meet the work deadlines required by the Government; accelerate the inventory of land and verification of its origin; and make site clearance compensation planning in accordance with the project progress and regulations.

Making the most of equipment and human resources
According to Dang Van Dung, Director of Van Phong - Nha Trang motorway project, the work on Van Phong - Nha Trang motorway is due to take place at the intersection of the project and the National Highway 27C in Phuoc Luong Village, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh District on January 1, 2023. The preparation for the construction kick-off has been complete.
The contractors named Son Hai Group Company, Ltd. and Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) have prepared sufficient machinery and human resources for the construction after the ground-breaking ceremony. The site clearance compensation and handover have met requirement for the construction. The contractors have pledged to make the most of equipment and human resources to complete the construction in 2025 and put it into operation in 2026 as required by the Government.
In a recent meeting, Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has asked localities to accelerate the site clearance compensation for those affected by the project; and ensure the funding for the site clearance, compensation for resettlement; and 100% of land handed over to the execution units as required by the Government.
The Van Phong - Nha Trang motorway starts at Km285+000 from Co Ma tunnel (Van Tho Commune, Van Ninh District) and ends at Km368+000, the intersection with the National Highway 27C (Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh District).
The project has a total length of 83.35km running through 4 communities, namely Van Ninh (32.255km), Ninh Hoa (28.982km), Dien Khanh (14.88km), Khanh Vinh (7.9km) with a total capital of VND11,808 billion.
