Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Women's Union held a consultation workshop on "The project of collecting, treating and recycling ocean plastic waste" in Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province on November 10. More than 50 representatives from Women’s Unions of Ninh Hoa Town and Van Ninh District and relevant departments and agencies attended the event.
The workshop is committed to raising environmental awareness and changing environmental behaviors; limiting ocean waste pollution, building a safe ocean environment for sustainable economic development; supporting livelihoods for women and disadvantaged people to increase their income through collecting ocean plastics.

The project’s duties are to build a network of garbage collection collaborators, giving priority to disadvantaged unemployed women with stable incomes of VND5-8 million/month and payment to weekly/monthly collectors.
