Maintaining several business start-up models

Under the scheme “business start-up assistance for women”, the business start-up with fruit trees in Dien Tho Commune implemented since 2018 has proved effective. The group membership has increased from 5 initially to 12. The members have had access to job creation loans to invest in their orchards. In early 2022, the association helped 3 members to access loans worth VND600 million from the Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development. Many members’ families have shifted to fruit framing with relatively good harvest, creating jobs, VND4 million/ month, for 20 women, according to Phan Thi Dep, Chairperson of Dien Tho Commune Women’s Association.

Bui Thi Nhu Y, a member of the commune Women’s Association said, “I used to earn a precarious living, struggling to make ends meet. Thanks to the support from the Union officials, I was introduced to work as a fruit farm worker, earning a more stable income.”
