Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union at all levels has organized numerous practical activities themed “For women and girl children’s safety”, contributing to keeping the community safe and healthy, seeking solutions to social issues affecting women and girl children.
 
Promoting propaganda
 
Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union at all levels has focused on promoting propaganda for "For women and girl children’s safety" via mass media, meetings and community activities in order to increase awareness of domestic violence, girl abuse and child abuse risks; the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, the Law on Children; and provide knowledge and skills for women to protect themselves.

Khanh Son District Women’s Union has launched several propaganda drives in various ways, providing knowledge and raising legal awareness for more than 2,460 members and parents of the under 16-year-olds. The Women’s Union has maintained 2 clubs “Parental guidance for good child care and education” with more than 100 members in the 2 communes of Son Lam and Son Hiep; and has just established the club “Women and laws” in Ba Cum Bac Commune, according to Cao Thi Hien, Chairperson of Khanh Son District Women’s Union. 
 
The newly-established club "Women and laws" has activities with various topics about parenting skills needed for child care and education. Members can share difficulties ad discuss solutions with other members. In addition, the club also provides opportunities for members to meet and give mutual material and spiritual support, according to Tro Thi Phun in Ba Cum Bac Commune.
 
Nha Trang City Women’s Union staff have regularly integrated child education in school activities in Khanh Hoa Province; especially, directed its branches to organize several meetings and classes in summer to provide students with essential self-defense skills.
 
Focusing on expanding models
 
In response to the Action Month for Children 2022 themed “Joining efforts for child protection and child abuse prevention”, the Women’s Union at all levels has cooperated with departments to organize activities for children; open 20 communication classes for 1,753 officials, members and women on knowledge and skills on child care and education; self-protection skills; against child marriage, child abuse and violence.
 
According to leaders of the provincial Women’s Union, to improve girls’ care and education tasks, the Women’s Union affiliations have focused on expanding effective and practical models to attract the participation of women and girls, contributing to promoting the role as a legal representative for the protection of women and girl children’s legal rights and benefits. The Women’s Union has developed 61 reliable support places in the community; 35 clubs for happy families and adolescent girls; against family violence, social evils, child malnutrition and school drop-out.
 
Kieu Thi Nga, a member of Van Khanh Commune Club for Happy Family, Van Ninh District says, “Joining the club, I can get a lot of good experience in happy family and child care; and access to capitals for production. I can also share the experience with other couples for mutual economic development, stable income and happy family life.”
 
In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union will continue promoting the propaganda for the Law on Children; Law on Gender Equality; Law on domestic violence prevention and control; expanding models of reliable support addresses; building up-to-date information networks; developing club models on girl children's care, education and protection; urging more men to get involved in actions to eliminate violence against women and girl children; mobilizing men to be propagandists for domestic violence control and gender equality education for young people and students; contributing to ensuring that women and children are protected and cared in various forms with basic rights respected and ensured, according to Nguyen Quynh Nga, Chairperson of the Provincial Women's Union.
