In recent years, vocational schools in the province have created favorable conditions for officials, teachers and students to create teaching aids to enrich virtual classroom. The self-made teaching equipment has been applied to teaching, contributing to improving the quality of training and saving costs for vocational schools.
 
Variety of self-made teaching equipment
 
Teachers Le Xuan Phong and Nguyen Minh Tien (Faculty of Electricity and Electronics, Nha Trang College of Technology) have researched and created the model "Water chiller air conditioning system, applying cold storage tanks" as a learning aid for lessons in refrigeration and air-conditioning engineering. The model is small and compact, so it can be installed in classrooms and workshops. Specifications are digitized by QR codes so that students can use the device easily. 
 
“The model can be applied to teach many modules in air conditioning and engineering. In particular, the model applies advanced technologies that businesses are using. Therefore, the model helps learners explore what they have learned applied to real world situations to make sure they are responsive to employers' needs. The cost of the model installation is about VND50 million, said Teacher Le Xuan Phong.

At Nha Trang Tourism College, Teacher Ho Le Khoa Anh and his colleagues designed the model of "NTC's marine amusement park and resort" for hotel management, resort management and reception management lessons. The model proves to be more practical and vivid than traditional teaching methods or projectors. Through the model, students can practice teamwork and presentation skills. The model has technical facilities designed and arranged in an overview with full basic functional areas to form a complex of marine tourism, helping students to know more about a wide variety of resorts. The cost for the model design is only VND15 million with easy-to-find materials.
 
With the desire to enliven classroom instructions, Teacher Le Quang Ket and Teacher Le Quang Quynh (Van Ninh Vocational School) have built a model of "Tube-shaped billet cutter by Plasma cutting method" applied in teaching, helping learners understand the device operation principles easily. In particular, the model helps businesses to widely develop and apply to production to reduce costs and labor; increase productivity and product quality. The cost of the model equipment is about VND35 million.
 
Creating the most favorable conditions
 
Le Vien Ngoc Bang, Principal of Van Ninh Vocational High School said with the increasing number of students every year, the school has constantly invested in equipment for the workshop and labs to meet teaching demands. Therefore, the school has provided financial support for school staff and teachers to do research and create teaching equipment to adapt to specific needs of learning and teaching, helping to increase local training quality.
 
Nha Trang College of Technology always motivates research and provides the most favorable conditions for staff and teachers to design and create models as teaching aids that are highly applicable, cost-effective and helpful to enhance the learning experience. Therefore, the school always leads in the self-made teaching equipment campaign in the province. The school has 4 to 7 self-made devices applied in teaching every year on average, according to the leader of Nha Trang College of Technology.
 
Vocational schools have paid attention to the self-made teaching aid campaign, creating about 20 self-made training devices on average every year. The self-made teaching aid contest is held every 2 years to create an intellectual playground to promote effective models. Creative and practical teaching aids help motivate learners and thus make learning fun, inviting and enjoyable. High prize-winning equipment is chosen by the department to advance to the national round for widely use in vocational schools.
