The  Youth Union and  Young Pioneer Organization at all levels in Khanh Hoa Province have mobilized resources to support home repair and construction for policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people to help them stay settled and safe.

Vo Van Minh, Dong Be Village, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh District used to be a member of the Vietnam Youth Volunteer Force. His house is in need of critical repairs that are beyond what he can afford. The great happiness came when the Provincial Youth Union together with VNPT Khanh Hoa Business Center provided a house construction grant for his family. The construction cost, VND93 million, included VND83 million from the  “Thank you Vietnam” program launched by the Central Youth Union and VNPT VinaPhone; and the rest from the family and the local authority in support of buildings materials. The new house was handed over to his family in April 2022. Happily, he said, “The new house financially constructed by the Youth Union means a lot to us, inspiring us to greater efforts to improve our living standards.”

Earlier in Xuan Ngoc Village, Vinh Ngoc Commune, Nha Trang City Comrade Association had funded the house construction of Nguyen Le Nhat Quyen. Her house has been in a decrepit condition for years. Together with financial aid from Phuoc Tien Primary School, Nha Trang City Comrade Association has donated VND100 million to the house construction. Other beneficiaries included Tran Minh Cuong, a poor family of a martyr in Vinh Truong Ward, Nha Trang City. “My house has gone through more than 20 years with lots of damages. Thanks to help from the Provincial Youth Union and other benefactors, we can stay safe in a new house,” he said.

Several practical volunteer activities, especially providing housing assistance, have been effectively implemented. Resources have been mobilized to promote the joint effort in providing aid, VND80 million/ house on average, for the disadvantaged in Khanh Hoa Province.

In addition, the Young Pioneer Organizations and Youth Union at all levels have financially supported home construction and repair for policy beneficiaries, especially in the volunteer summer. In the coming time, the Young Pioneer Organizations and Youth Union at all levels will continue seeking resources to support those in housing need to help them stay settled and improve their living standards, according Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of Provincial Youth Federation.

Since 2017, Young Pioneer Organizations and Youth Union at all levels in Khanh Hoa has funded the construction of 50 houses for the disadvantaged and policy beneficiaries, including students in financial hardship.
