The construction of an Van Gia Town beach embankment has been completed and put into operation for many months. This project is of great significance to protect the coast along Tran Hung Dao Street. The district People's Committee has decided to invest in renovating the beach park on Tran Hung Dao Street.
 
Le Dinh Vinh, Vice-Chairman of Van Gia Town People's Committee said that the investment in the a coastal park aims to gradually concretize the 1/500 scale detailed planning of Van Gia Beach approved by the District People's Committee; adding attraction to the coastal landscape. It is designed to be a place for entertainment, cultural and sporting activities, contributing to promoting the local tourism development. This project is the desire of local people and authorities. Combined with the coastal embankment, it promises to raise the coastal urban level, providing a considerable stimulus to local socio-economic development.
 
Van Gia Town Coast Park Project (phase 1) includes a sports square, nearly 10,000m2; a yard, nearly 1,000m2; 2 public restrooms, 2 parking lots, 6 rest huts, roads, alleys with trees and lawns, including ginger grass,  Hymenocallis littoralis, Bougainvillea, etc., and especially taking advantage of the existing lines of coconut trees along Tran Hung Dao Street. 
 
Besides, there are outdoor physical exercise and sport facilities. The resting huts are designed to be in octagonal shape with cement concrete floor and tiled roof. In addition, energy-saving lighting system is used. The project has a total investment of about VND10 billion from urban development non-business capital.
 
The economic and technical report of Van Gia Town Coast Park project was approved in September, 2021 and the construction began in the end of 2021. Currently, 30% of the work progress has been achieved. The project implementation process is favorable with no compensation for site clearance required.
 
The construction is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year, meeting local residents' aspirations, according to Huynh Ngoc Liem, Director of the District Construction Project Management Board (the investor).
