Lunar New Year Festive cheer has come early to laborers at the 2022 Lunar New Year get-together program organized by the Trade Union at all levels in Khanh Hoa Province to provide support for members and laborers in financial hardship, making sure all will have a happy and fulfilled holiday.
In 2021, Covid-19 pandemic had adverse impacts on life and work of thousands of workers. The Lunar New Year get-together program is to partly provide aid for Trade Union members and laborers, welcoming the festive season. In the family-friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, more than 100 Youth Union members and laborers gathered and shared joyful moments, about their families and work, receiving New Year gifts and greetings from provincial leaders.

Me Van Sanh, a worker at Tram Huong Forestry Company, Ltd. said, “This is the first time I have joined the event with other workers in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Besides a New Year gift, I’ve also received VND5 million aid. Especially, the Trade Union has just handed a new house to me. The year 2021 was full of hardship due to the pandemic, but I feel so happy and excited to get such great support during the last lunar days of 2021.” Reportedly, Me Van Sanh is in a difficult situation. His wife has died in a road accident, leaving him behind with two little children. The Trade Union has provided VND50 million aid for his family. From now on, when working far from home, he feels less worried as his children are safe in a new house.
| Speaking at the recent Tet Reunion Program, Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council emphasized the humane meaning of support activities held by the Trade Union at all levels for members and employees before, during and after Tet; and suggested that the Trade Union at all levels would continue effectively applying appropriate policies to provide aid for members and employees to overcome difficulties, keeping them motivated at work as well as engaged in the fight against the pandemic for economic recovery and growth. |

The Trade Union of Education, Transport, Public Sector; Labor Confederation of Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh City, etc. have also organized the Lunar New Year get-together program, offering hundreds of New Year gifts to members and workers in need, spending Tet far from home.
Bui Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation said the Trade Union at all levels has made great attempts to care for the Lunar New Year celebration of all members and laborers, especially those in hardship, to ensure everyone has an enjoyable festive holiday.
Through the Lunar New Year get-together program, the Provincial Trade Union offered 2,500 New Year gifts worth VND500,000 each to members and laborers impacted by Covid-19. Besides, over 1,500 grassroots Trade Unions have held Lunar New Year activities with VND300,000 aid/ each. The Trade Union has maintained salary and bonus payment, keeping workers motivated to overcome difficulties through the hard time due to Covid-19, wishing them lead a happy life in the New Year and return to work on schedule as regulated after the holiday
