Khanh Hoa Province is administering Covid-19 additional vaccine and booster doses (the third dose) to adults aged 18 or older.
According to Huynh Van Dong, Director of Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has been implementing a plan on the third dose vaccination as of December 27, 2021 Under the Direction of the Government and Ministry of Health. More than 224,000 people in Khanh Hoa Province have received the third doses so far, accounting for 23.5%.

Depending on the Ministry of Health’s vaccine supply and priority regulations, the third dose vaccination schedule may vary from person to person, based on types of vaccines and target groups. Localities have been assigned to deploy the Covid-19 vaccination program, including sending Covid-19 vaccination invitations and reminders via loudspeakers, invitation cards or text messages in safe adaptation to Covid-19.
Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control is in charge of vaccinating public servants of local and central agencies and large enterprises in Khanh Hoa. To avoid crowding, text messages are sent to notify of Covid-19 vaccination appointments with specific dates and time.

An additional dose of the coronavirus vaccine is recommended for fully adults aged 18 or older with moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (recipients of solid-organ transplant, those with cancer, HIV infection, etc.) and adults with two doses of Vero Cell. The additional dose is administered at least 28 days to 3 months from the second shot. The booster is recommended for those who had the 2nd dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at least 3 months ago.
Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control is assigned to provide materials and chemicals for epidemic prevention and control for localities, based on the their demand and plans. An adequate supply has been maintained so far in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Huynh Van Dong, Director of Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control.
