12 new cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in Khanh Hoa Province from 7am to 4pm on July 12, according to Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control. The new cases include 6 in Ninh Hoa Town, 4 in Nha Trang City and 2 in Van Ninh. 10 of these are in locked-down and quarantine areas and F2; and 3 in the community.
The new cases have been isolated and transferred to hospital for treatment. Epidemiological investigation has been conducted together with contact tracing and disinfection to help prevent the further spread of infections.
289 cases positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in Khanh Hoa since June 23. Infections have been reported in 6/9 districts and towns, including Ninh Hoa Town with the most cases (179), followed by Nha Trang City (90), Van Ninh District (11), Cam Lam District (6), Cam Ranh City (2) and Dien Khanh District (1).
26,415 samples have been taken for RT-PCR testing and 33,941 others for rapid diagnostic testing in Khanh Hoa Province. 83 areas related to the positive cases have been temporarily locked down.
