This is the peak time for offshore fishing vessels to dock in Khanh Hoa Province. Therefore, in order to ensure Covid-19 prevention and control,  fishing port  management boards have arranged vessels into and out of ports safely, far apart in distance and time; reminding the compliance with the Ministry of Health’s “5K” guidelines and recommendations.

Five offshore fishing vessels docked at Hon Ro Port, Nha Trang City on May 1. Hon Ro Port Management Board arranged boats to take turns to dock at the port to prevent mass gathering and ensure safety.

“This is the busy time for the port, receiving up to 30-40 boats every day together with many fishermen unloading, weighing and selling sea products. We have taken safety precautions, including maintaining a safe distance, body temperature checks; and compulsory use of face masks and hand sanitizer. Together with Covid-19 prevention and control propaganda via loudspeakers, the management board officials are always present to make sure fishermen wear face masks and keep social distancing, etc.,” said Nguyen Trung Hieu, Head of Hon Ro Port Management Board.
