On April 28, Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting on Covid-19 control and prevention and celebration of cultural, art and tourism activities during the coming National Holiday (April 30 and May 1).
 
Accordingly, the Provincial People’s Committee decided to cancel fireworks display scheduled on May 1 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in some countries in the region and in India. The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee required organizers of cultural and art activities on the National Holiday to ensure Covid-19 prevention and control, including wearing face masks, keeping safe distance, restricting large gatherings, reducing the size of events, etc. in the fight against Covid-19.
 
Earlier, the Government had permitted Khanh Hoa to set off community funded low-level fireworks in 2 locations, including 2-4 Square and Tre Island, Nha Trang City, to mark a series of local tourism stimulus events 2021.
