Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture & Rural Development sent a document to localities to cooperate  in providing information for the development of a project on mapping risks of drought, water shortage and salt water intrusion on March 3.

Accordingly, in 2020, Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee gave approval in principle to the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development to implement the project, using the provincial natural disaster prevention and control funding. The project is required to determine the possibilities of being affected by drought, water shortage and saltwater intrusion in specific regions in the province to serve as a basis for making water supply plans for agricultural production and daily life, effectively responding to drought, water shortage and salt water intrusion.

Reportedly, the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development has selected the Southern Central Region Hydro-Meteorological Center as a consultant for the project implementation.
