Happiness doubled
 
Receiving a New Year gift from the Fatherland Front Committee, Van Thang Ward, Nha Trang City, Tran Thi Hoa, Xuan Son Commune said, “We have 4 children. 2 died and 2 are married but in financial hardship. My husband is sick so we hardly have a fulfilled New Year experience. I am so happy to receive a gift which has both material and spiritual meaning, inspiring us to set aside worries and overcome hardship in life.” Local residents mostly live on farming. Many have struggling life. Therefore, they are so grateful for such New Year gifts which means so much to them, inspiring for more effort to overcome difficulties in life, according to a resident named Nguyen Van Hoa.
 

The charity trip brings 70 gifts containing rice, sugar, cooking oil and clothes; and other 75 gifts are going to be given to Van Thang Ward. The funding for gifts is mobilized by Fatherland Front Committee from benefactors, according to Nguyen Thi Cam Nhung, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee, Van Thang Ward.

The Fatherland Front Committee, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City has cooperated with Kienlongbank Vinh Hai to offer 50 gifts to the poor. The activity is in the New Year charity program. Besides, the Fatherland Front Committee has also cooperated with the Red Cross to offer tens of gifts to the needy.
 
Thousands of gifts given
 
Together with local authorities, agencies and organizations in Khanh Hoa Province, the Fatherland Front at all levels has organized visits and donated gifts to the poor. Besides the Fatherland Front, other organizations have mobilized many benefactors to offer gifts to the needy. This year, provincial leaders have visited and offered gifts worth VND1 million each to 100 families in need in Khanh Hoa Province.
 
In addition, Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee has sent VND735 million to the Fatherland Front Committee of wards and communes to buy nearly 1,500 New Year gifts for disadvantaged families, ethnic minorities in remote areas, etc; 500 gifts to Trade Union members and workers in need; and given 12,000 national flags to ethnic minority families. In addition, from the funding source, Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee also visited and offered Tet gifts to poor patients at hospitals in the province; to Sao Mai Orphanage and Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation Education Center for Disabled Children. Moreover, thanks to financial support from Phuc Son Group, the Fatherland Front Committee at districts and towns has visited and given 4,000 gifts totaling VND2 billion to poor households; the Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Khanh Hoa, Vietcombank Nha Trang and Vietcombank Khanh Hoa offered nearly 500 gifts worth VND500,000 each, etc.
 
Along with caring for the poor during Tet, in the coming time, the Fatherland Front Committee at all levels will continue taking effective measures and developing models to help residents to promote wellbeing and lift themselves out of poverty sustainably; well implementing the campaign to promote national solidarity in building a cultural life and new countryside and developing urban civilization; renewed propaganda methods; mobilized cadres, civil servants, agencies, businesses and the community to join effort to care for those in  difficult circumstances, according to Huynh Thi Phuong, Deputy Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee.
