Maintaining good relations
Over the past years, the Union of Friendship Organizations has regularly maintained good friendship and partnership with many organizations and individuals, especially with embassies, consulates, international organizations and individuals in Vietnam, creating friendliness and openness between foreign organizations and Khanh Hoa residents. Through cultural and sport activities, people of different nationalities have opportunities to better understand people and culture in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, contributing to strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between Khanh Hoa and international communities.

Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations is committed to expanding people-to-people relations with abundant activities attracting international organizations and people following the trend of community participation boost, diversification and multilateralization, maintaining traditional peaceful relations and friendship. With long-term close friendship between Vietnam and Laos, Cambodia, India, France, Russia, Germany and other African countries, Khanh Hoa Union has organized regular activities to introduce Vietnamese culture as well as maintain the friendship with people in other countries. Meetings on the occasion of Lunar New Year, Independence Days; cultural and educational events, etc have been organized with the participation of many people of various nationalities in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, according to Le Trung Hung, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations.
Vietnam - Cambodia Association of Friendship together with the Union holds exchange meetings with Cambodian students in Khanh Hoa every year on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay New Year, Independence Day of Cambodia, etc. Members take tours to Cambodia every year to visit the old battlefield as well as promote international togetherness with Cambodian people, says Huynh Kim Le, Chairman of Vietnam – Cambodia Association of Friendship.
Friendship promotion
With the goal to continue innovating and improving people-to-people diplomacy activities in the province, the union will actively promote friendship and cooperation between Khanh Hoa and other nationalities in the coming years, contributing to boosting international cooperation in economics, culture, education, science and technology; improving foreign relations of mass organizations in order to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Khanh Hoa residents and people of other nationalities.
At the 7th Congress of Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations in late July, Nguyen Khac Toan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee confirmed the importance of the development of effective long-term friendship and cooperation with mass organizations and people in other countries in the present situation. People-to people diplomacy is required to be promoted to be served as a link to establish official relations between Khanh Hoa and foreign communities. Therefore, the Union needs to focus on the establishment, promotion and development of international friendship, helping to strengthen partnership with neighboring nations and traditional relations; improve foreign relations, as well as promote strength of member associations.
Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations is specialized in people-to-people diplomacy which is required to improve to further strengthen the friendship with neighboring countries, ASEAN countries, strategic partners and traditional friends; combine political campaign activities with the boost in economic cooperation, investment, trade, science, technology, education, tourism; and homeland tourism promotion, according to Nguyen Phuong Nga, Chairperson of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
