Khanh Hoa Newspaper cooperated with Quang Tri Newspaper to deliver storm and flood aid from readers to residents and schools in Dong Ha City and Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province on November 14.


Through Quang Tri Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Khanh Hoa Newspaper gave VND300 million in support of the post-flood recovery efforts. Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper paid a visit and offered VND20 million and 600 notebooks to Hoa Binh Primary School, one of the worst-hit schools with many disadvantaged children in Dong Ha City.


In addition, the delegation offered 260 gifts worth VND1 million each to residents suffering from severe loss and damage in Vinh Son Commune, Vinh Lam Commune and Vinh Linh District. Besides, 2,000 notebooks and VND20 million in cash were given to Vinh Lam Primary School and Vinh Son Primary & Junior High School to help with the recovery efforts.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Newspaper has mobilized more than VND800 million from readers, businesses, organizations and individuals to help the flood-hit central region. Khanh Hoa Newspaper readers would like to partly share with the sufferings, together with the local authority, to help Quang Tri residents recover from the devastating impacts and stabilize lives, according to Khanh Hoa Newspaper Deputy Editor-in-Chief Thai Thi Le Hang.
 
Local authorities and beneficiaries thanked Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper for the concern and practical assistance from readers, businesses and benefactors in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, confirming that the meaningful work would aid locals to resume their livelihoods and return to normal life.
