At the meeting, Doctor Bui Xuan Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health reported that there are 156 cases under quarantine and health monitoring in Khanh Hoa. Of which, 125 cases have been tested negative for the virus and 31 cases are waiting for results. The Department of Health has collaborated with the provincial public security to conduct epidemiological investigation of 9 Chinese people who had illegally entered Vietnam (from January 2020) and stayed in Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City. These cases are in temporary custody for investigation. In addition, the person having attended a wedding party with the COVID-19 patient No. 416 at For You Palace Convention Center in Da Nang has been put under epidemiological investigation and quarantine at Khanh Hoa Hospital of Tropical Diseases.

Nguyen Dac Tai confirmed that to enhance disease prevention and control; as well as prevent and minimize COVID-19 infection in the province in the new situation, the Provincial People's Committee has decided to re-activate the COVID-19 prevention and control scheme approved earlier; required steering committee members at all levels, local departments, agencies and organizations; People's Committees of districts and towns to continue strictly and effectively implementing COVID-19 prevention and control requirements in the new situation in accordance with the guidance by the Government and the provincial People's Committee; strengthening propaganda against COVID-19; encouraging locals to report any cases of illegal entry in the community, and imposing travel restriction to epidemic areas. Those having traveled recently from infected areas must make medical declaration. Leaders of agencies, departments and enterprises are to fully implement COVID-19 prevent and control measures in their units.
 
New non-essential mass gatherings are not encouraged. Sporting, art and cultural activities already approved and under preparation have not been suspended yet. However, the organizing boards are required to strictly comply with COVID-19 prevention and control orders. Khanh Hoa People’s Committee will decide where or not to suspend such mass gathering events and activities based on the occurrence of the coronavirus. Members of the steering committee at all levels, heads of departments, agencies, organizations; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and towns are asked to mobilize social organizations and residents to actively respond to and get involved in the fight against COVID-19 in the new situation; and actively complete the universal health declaration, according to Nguyen Dac Tai.
