Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam visits Khanh Hoa

Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman worked with Umeda Kunio, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam on the afternoon of June 15. The working session took place on a Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter carrier Izumo  during its stay at Cam Ranh International Port from June 14.

At the meeting, Umeda Kunio expressed his hope that Khanh Hoa would soon complete land procedures for Sumitomo thermal electricity plant (Japanese investor) to be put into operation; informed about a policy on further cooperation in agriculture, adding that Japanese partners would boost aquaculture projects in Nha Trang City and the construction of Da Bac fishing port in Cam Ranh; gave more information about the program on providing safety helmets for children held by Honda Vietnam; and said he would introduce some businesses in Japan, including Hiroshima City, to cooperate with Khanh Hoa Province.

Le Duc Vinh agreed with the Japanese Ambassador’s suggestion on investment cooperation in fisheries and link between businesses in Japan and Khanh Hoa; and affirmed that Khanh Hoa would facilitate Japanese investors to develop the Sumitomo thermal electricity plant project. Le Duc Vinh also gave an overview of Nha Trang City tourism development; confirmed the opening of Nha Trang City- Osaka direct flight would promote tourist destinations; and expressed the hope that the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan would further develop, contributing to promoting socio-economic growth in Khanh Hoa.
