Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee received the delegation of the United States (US) Indo-Pacific Command and US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City on April 17. The delegation of the US Indo-Pacific Command was led by the US Indo-Pacific Command Admiral Philip S. Davidson.
 
Tran Son Hai gave an overview of the provincial history, culture and socio-economic development. The two partners exchanged information about the U.S Pacific Partnership in Khanh Hoa and other cooperation programs between the USA and Khanh Hoa Province. Tran Son Hai expressed the hope that the working visit to Khanh Hoa would gain satisfactory results, contributing to boosting the cooperation relationship between the USA and Vietnam in general and the U.S.A and Khanh Hoa in particular.

Davidson highly evaluated Vietnam as the host of the USA - North Korea Summit as well as the maintenance of maritime security and freedom of navigation on the Pacific Ocean and the East Sea and confirmed the working visit would help boost the cooperation relationship between the USA and Vietnam in general and the USA and Khanh Hoa in particular.
